All those that have applied to take part in Ten Tors are invited to the first training walk this Sunday. As we are expecting large numbers, we need you to make your own way to the start of the walk.

You need to meet at Berry Head car park at 09.30.

Below is a list of kit you will need

  • Either; walking boots, wellies or stout trainers. Lightweight pumps or dolly shoes are NOT acceptable. It will be muddy.
  • Waterproof coat (and waterproof trousers if you have them)
  • Loose trousers to walk in (NOT JEANS)
  • Warm clothes – at least 2 thin layers and a warm layer such as a warm jumper
  • Hat and gloves
  • Lunch including at least 1ltr of water
  • Small rucksack to carry it all in.

It is expected to be very cold on Sunday with the risk of rain. You must ensure you come prepared. If you do not have the kit above, please try to borrow it. You will not be allowed on the walk if you are not suitably prepared.

All being well we hope to be back at Berry Head car park between 16.00 and 16.30.
